I started my career as a support worker at 18 and have since worked across every level of the sector – frontline, operational, senior leadership, regulatory and compliance – giving me a genuine 360° understanding of high-quality care.

My background includes:

• Registered management and regional operational leadership
• CQC Adult Social Care Inspector (balancing provider empathy with regulatory integrity)
• Head of Compliance across multiple supported living services
• Services supporting older adults, people with learning disabilities and/or Autism and those with mental health needs.

In 2021 I started UpEd Ltd my adult social care consultancy company. I have focused on:
• Mentoring care providers
• Compliance assessments using my CQC regulatory ‘hat’ and operational experience 
• Embedding safe, person-centred, consistently high-quality care

My approach is practical, fair and improvement-focused, helping providers understand not just what ‘good’ looks like, but how to achieve it.

My ‘why’ has never changed: people with support needs deserve dignity, respect and the opportunity to live fulfilling lives.  That principle guides everything I do!
